About Baseline

Baseline is an independent guide to tennis academies, clubs and colleges. It shows where today's pros grew up, and what each place offers families now: programmes, prices, coaches and news.

Who runs it

Baseline is run by Rasul Ertugrul, Studio ECL (studioecl.com), based in Turkey.

Legal form

A private, non-commercial project run by an individual. Baseline is not a registered company and earns no money today. If that changes, this page will say so.

Independent, not affiliated

We are not part of, paid by, or endorsed by the academies, clubs, colleges, federations or players shown. We are not affiliated with the ATP or the WTA. Nothing on Baseline is a paid placement today. If that ever changes, the listing will say "Paid placement".

Academy names and logos belong to their owners and are used only to name them. Player names and rankings are shown as facts. The players do not endorse Baseline or any academy.

What the data is and how we make it

• Players. The ATP and WTA top 300 from the official rankings of 21 September 2026, and the players ranked 301 to 800 in the rankings of 5 October (ATP) and 12 October (WTA) 2026.
• Where they grew up. Read from public sources such as player interviews, tour biographies, academy sites and Wikipedia, and checked by hand.
• Programmes, prices, coaches and news. Read from each academy's own website and public social accounts, then written in our own words. Each page says when we last checked it.
• Places on the map. Positions from OpenStreetMap.

We can get things wrong, and academies change their offers. If you see a mistake, tell us and we will fix it.

Terms of use

By using Baseline you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

What the site is

Baseline is information to help you compare places. It is not an academy, a booking service or a travel agent. We do not sell places, take payments or sign contracts on anyone's behalf.

No guarantee of prices and dates

We take prices, dates and programmes from the academy's own site and posts, but they can change at any time and we may be behind. The academy's own information always counts. Check the price, dates and conditions with the academy before you book or pay.

Prices in US dollars

We show every price in US dollars so you can compare places. We convert the price the academy publishes in its own currency at the European Central Bank reference rate of one day. For the few currencies the European Central Bank does not publish, we use the rate from Rates By Exchange Rate API.

Rates move every day, so the dollar figure may be out of date. It is also rounded. On a programme page you also see the price the academy published, in its own currency. That price, set by the academy, is the one that counts.

Links to other sites

Links take you to academy websites, social accounts and map apps. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for what they say or do.

The request form

• Use it only for a real question about tennis training, for you or for a player in your family.
• Give your real name and an email address you use.
• No ads, no spam, nothing unlawful or hurtful.
• We pass your request to the academy you picked and tell you what we hear back. Any deal you make is between you and the academy.
• You need to tick the box agreeing to these terms and the privacy policy before you can send a request.

Our responsibility

We work hard to keep Baseline right, but we give it "as it is". As far as the law allows, we are not responsible for any loss that comes from relying on information on the site, from a site we link to, or from a deal with an academy. Nothing in these terms takes away rights you have by law that cannot be taken away.

Changes

We may change the site and these terms. The date at the top of this page shows the latest version.

Law

These terms follow the laws of Turkey, where Baseline is run from. If you are a consumer, nothing here takes away the protection you have under the law of the country where you live.

Visiting the site

The site sets no cookies and stores nothing in your browser. We use no analytics and no ad trackers. Like every website, the servers see your IP address when they send you a page. Cloudflare, which hosts Baseline, keeps short technical logs to run and protect the service. Maps load their map pictures from OpenFreeMap and OpenStreetMap, and the map code from cdnjs (Cloudflare). Those services see your IP address too.

What the request form collects

Only what you type or tick: your name and email (needed), and if you want, the player's age or "an adult", level, rating, goal, budget, when you want to start, boarding, your questions and a message. With it we keep the programme you asked about, the page address, the page you came from, your browser type, the time, and your tick on these terms.

What we do with it

We use it only to answer you and to pass your request to the academy you picked. It goes to no other academy and to no one else. We do not sell it. No newsletter unless you ask for one.

Where it is kept and for how long

Requests are stored with Cloudflare. A copy reaches our own inbox through Google (Gmail). Both may handle data outside your country. We keep requests for 12 months, then delete them.

Your rights

You can ask us at any time to see, correct or delete your data, or to stop using it. Write to hello@studioecl.com. You can also complain to the data protection authority where you live.

Please note

Please do not send health details. If the player is under 16, a parent or guardian should send the request.

Academy photos and takedown

Academy pictures come from the academy's own website or its public social accounts. We show them to present that academy, with the academy's name next to them. Logos are shown only to name the academy.

If you own a picture, text or fact on Baseline and want it changed or removed, write to hello@studioecl.com with the page link and what you own. We take it down within 2 working days.

Coaches

We list coaches by name and job title because academies publish their staff on their own sites and parents want to know who coaches. We show only work facts: name, role and academy. If you are a coach and want your name or photo removed, write to hello@studioecl.com and we will do it within 2 working days. Anyone else named on Baseline can ask the same way.

Player photo credits

Player photos come from Wikimedia Commons. Each photo keeps its own licence, shown below with its author and a link to the original. We saved smaller copies and show them in a round or square frame, which cuts off the edges. Our copies are shared under the same licence as the original.
